    • Decreases levels of anxiety and stress.

    • Help keep everyones’ minds sharp, especially younger and older people.

Physical Health Benefits

  • Losing weight.

    • Exercise helps to burn calories and keep the calories away.

      • If more calories are consumed than burned, weight is gained.

      • If more calories are burned than consumed, weight is lost.

    • Working out consistently can also help keep the weight away because your body will eventually condition itself to need less food.

  • Working can also prevent many different health risks such as:

    • Cardiovascular disease

      • Heart disease and stroke

        • Working out at least 150 minutes a week can severely reduce your chances of these happening to you.

  • Strengthen muscles and bones

    • Working out consistently helps maintain muscle mass, strength, and growth.

Long-Term Benefits

  • Prevents some Cancers

    • Bladder, breast, colon, endometrium, esophagus, kidney, lung, and stomach cancers.

  • Help you live longer

    • It is estimated that 110,000 death could have been prevented, in people aged 40 or higher, if they had maintained a basic level of working out throughout their lives (CDC).
